That’ll Teach Me
The work on my practice Clapotis has come to a screeching halt. I ran out of yarn just after the first repeat of decreases. It’s my own fault, really. I’m not quite sure what I was thinking when I told myself that two balls would be plenty. I could probably get away with just half a ball more, but getting even that much is proving to be a bit of a problem. Apparently Simply Soft Eco is a Walmart exclusive, unless I resort to buying it online, and my local Walmart doesn’t carry anything beyond Red Heart and Peaches & Cream. Even if the next nearest Walmart carries it and has the colorway I need, there’s a very real possibility that it won’t match close enough to what I have to not be noticeable. Argh!
To console myself, I ran to my LYS and threw myself onto the nearest pile of comforting woolen goodness I could find. I ended up taking home two skeins of the new Spud & Chloë Fine in white and two skeins of Shepherd’s Wool in turquoise.
